The Defiance is an obscure event that brought about the Age of Defiance. It was a conflict in which the Demigods tried to free their respective god from the contract thei signed during the Signature of the World.
As a consequence of this act, Arthe stripped the Gods of their physical bodies and the demigods of most of their Divinity.
Arthe bound the physical forms of the gods in a prison of crsytals under the Tower of Signature and chained herself in a floating temple at the top of the tower to keep the other gods in check.
This begun an era where the supernatural forces of the world waned and were cast into secret and obscurity.
